 ”LEARNING ABOUT EACH OTHER:

LET’S PLAY”

 

 

 

Pedagogical value

This project  gives pupils the opportunity to get in touch with children of a foreign country, to share experiences but also to exchange and compare ideas so to improve and enrich their knowledge. They can realise that children have different habits according to their own culture but the same rights. They can improve their  English language in different ways by using communication  tools to describe themselves, their families, houses and town and particularly to one of the child’s rights that is game.

About 8 months

 

Aim

  • Child’s rights: focus on  Play

  • Comparison between different lifestyles (family, house, town, free-time: games, hobbies and sports)

  • Review and consolidate structures and vocabulary in English language

  • Develop and reinforce writing ability in English language

  • Improve the usage of ICT tools

 

School

This project will be developed by two schools: 1° Circolo Didattico “San Donato”- Sassari , Italy and  Ayios Stylianos Elementary school -Cyprus

Time

According to the topic, pupils have to send their products with pictures or drawing to the other children at the end of each month

 

Outcome

The received materials are gathered from both twinned schools in an electronic book made by using Power Point.

The final products are published in both school websites.

 

 

Evaluation

There will be evaluate children’s involvement in taking part in such a project, they will be stimulate to reflect on all the information gathered during this experience and particularly on that received from the foreign mates. It will be important to evaluate if they have improved their skills in using ICT tools but also the ability to cooperate and share  information and ideas with peers.

Teachers can evaluate how this project is effective to improve their knowledge according to methodology, techniques and approaches.
